5.0 out of 5 stars The definitive bible to myofascial pain and dysfunction, 6 Dec 2003
By Johnson McEvoy (Ireland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Dr Travell and Dr Simons are the Lennon and McCartney of Muscle.
The books reflect two lifetimes work in the area of human muscle pain. Though Travell worked hard all her life on many projects including being Whitehouse Doctor to JFK and Lyndon B Johnson, the hardest thing she said, was to teach Dr's to believe their patients. On reviewing the text it is complete and up to-date with excelent referencing. You will start recognising your patient's pain when you take this work on board. The alternative is to simply neglect by ignorance a most common cause of human suffering - the muscle trigger point - at the expense of all the patients we are priviliged to come in contact with
An absolute must for those involved in patient care of all disciplines
Johnson McEvoy BSc., MISCP., PT - Chartered Physiotherapist

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT TEXT FOR THE PRMARY CARE PROVIDER, 2 Aug 1999
By A Customer
DR. TRAVELL DOES AN OUTSTANDING JOB INVESTIGATING AND REPORTING ON A BRANCH OF MEDICINE THAT VERY FEW PHYSICIANS UNDERSTAND. SHE HAS PROVIDED US WITH A COOK BOOK METHOD OF TREATING MYOFACIAL PAIN. SHE HAS TAKEN AN UNEXPLORED AREA OF MEDICINE, RESEARCHED IT, AND DEVISED A METHOD OF TREATMENT. I HAVE INCORPORATED HER TECHNIQUES INTO MY PRACTICE, AND I HAVE HAD GREAT SUCCESS. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND HER COMPLLETE SET OF TEXTS TO ALL PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIANS. LEARNING AND PERFECTING HER TECHNIQUES DEMANDS MUCH TIME, HOWEVER, THE RESULTS ARE AMAZING.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy, 23 April 2009
By Paul Mason "Book wizard" (Sunderland England) - See all my reviews

Having suffered from undiagnosed dizziness for over 8 months now, this book has given me hope.
This is the first time I've read anything, and I've read nearly everything, where the author new what the problem is and explained that conventional Doctors may be stumped.
Anyone with a similar problem should invest in this book immediately.
