This book covers the BORLAND C#Builder, the CD has a 32day time limited copy of the Architect version of the software - it needs an authorisation code from Borland. Alternatively, you can download a time unlimited personal version.
A little background in C++ is useful but not strictly necessary.
The book leads one quickly but easily into the language and the C#Builder IDE with plenty of useful screenshots.
A useful and practical book
