I think this book is a really good reference for anyone who wants to develop sophisticated applications with C#. It covers all the main aspects of the language (syntax, OOP concepts) and emphasizes on some really useful .NET Framework Class Libraries which, after all, are the real power of Microsoft's .NET environment. Working with GUIs, I/O, XML, ADO.NET, ASP.NET and Web Services are some of the topics this book deals with. These topics are not analyzed in depth (that is not the purpose of the book) but the reader learns more than the basics about each of them.
What I didn't like, being a rather experienced Java developer, was the large number of chapters devoted to those who don't have a clue about Object Oriented Programming. Most books in the "Sams Unleashed Series" deal with advanced topics from the first chapters. "C# Unleashed" addresses to intermediate and advanced users so it should take some things for granted.
Nevertheless, the extreme programming part of the book (PART IV) should please everyone who thinks of programming languages as a tool to help us achieve anything.

am familiar with similar languages and do not really see a big use for this one. However the book gives a good argument for it and is very informative on its use and the necessary supporting environment. This makes a good reference book for future projects. If nothing else it tells you how to pronounce the name of the language.
