1.0 out of 5 stars Recompile, 1 Mar 2002

There, I have said in the subject what the authors spend a whole book on, in order for you to save your money and find something better to spend them on.

The authors probably have a lot of knowledge, but they do not all that willingly depart with it, except the recompilation technique. Maybe they are afraid that the reader will try and capture their work.

Very much fluff, little hardcore, and way too much "What I did on my holidays" sort of thing.

Find a better book to spend your money on.

2.0 out of 5 stars Consign to /dev/null, 26 Feb 2002

A quick flick through this book reveals a high chaff to wheat ratio. The Authors of this book have felt the need to pad with a lot of "Top-down, bottom-up" waffle rather than raw technical detail and examples.
