3.0 out of 5 stars OK for teaching yourself about C++ Builder, 19 Feb 2001
By A Customer
This is not a particularly outstanding book but it is useful as a) somewhere to start teaching yourself about the Builder IDE and the various Borland bits and bobs that make their products such excellent tools. b) It is also quite useful as reference material if you don't know what option you want or what the correct syntax is. However you definitely need to have a least a reasonable knowledge of C/C++ before you start because if you don't you won't get it here.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pure Elementary!!!, 25 April 1999
By A Customer
This book was not very thorough. The author rushed through it. He apparently did not think the subject out very well before he wrote the book. It is more of the same of Teach Yourself C++ Builder 3 in 14 days. It is just a beginner's book and very skimpy at that.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good starter but no advanced topics or HOW-TO detail., 4 Dec 1998
By A Customer
This is a good book for the beginner C++Builder programmer. Don't look here if you are a fairly fluent to advanced C++ programmer looking to start using a Visual tool. Good guide to the basics of the IDE and general product components, constructions etc. No information on how to take a working C++ program and convert it to the C++Builder/Windows application.
