4.0 out of 5 stars Room For Improvement, 7 Jun 2003
By Mr President "POTUS" (Glasgow) - See all my reviews
(TOP 1000 REVIEWER)
This book had an excellent storyline. Although its part of the TNG series, the limelight was more taken by the Original Series crew of Spock, McCoy, and Engineer Scot. The pace was fast and the battle scene's with the old Yorktown with the Warbirds was great. But the main let down of the book was that it felt a bit rushed, a bit of character development wouldnt have gone amiss. And the Romulans could have had a bit more time spent on them.

Other than that, a fast paced book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good, 20 Jun 2003
I have read quite a few Star Trek books over the years and I can honestly say this is one of the best.
The author has managed to weave the orginal series characters together with the Next Generation cast in a believable and likeable way.
Right the way through the book I found it exciting and really wanted to know what happens next.
I felt that the characters behaved as you would expect them to and the author has managed to grasp what each characters about, and convey it to the reader-particularly with Spock (logical) and McCoy (acts from the heart).
I really like this book and would strongly recommend it to all Star Trek fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars One of the better Trek tie-ins, 24 April 2008
By T. Williams "Maranatha!" (North West, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I enjoyed this book and found it to be a very solid entry in the Star Trek tie in series of novels. It moves along swiftly and the reunion of three classic trek characters (which as expected happens at the end of the novel) does not disappoint.
