This was really specific for Adult Children of Alcoholics. It runs through how Adult Children often think and behave. Explains what went wrong and how to begin to heal. I've lent it to my step-mum and hope my Dad will read some of it. Another absolute must for anyone affected by another persons' drink problem. IMHO, it gives a wounded soul validation, comfort and hope.

This is first book I have read on the subject, so I can not compare to other titles. It is written in simple understandable language, so it is very easy (and fast) to read, which is what I like in the books.
It is written in the format: question - answer. I like that.
But for sure I will search for other titles on the subject, this book is just introduction for me.
This book encourages me to read and learn more about adult children of alcoholics.

This book seemed to leap off the shelf of a secondhand bookstore. I read it over two evenings and was amazed at how it seemed to be describing my experiences. I've gone back to it time and time again.
