5.0 out of 5 stars Richard Marcinko is a war God that kills them all., 12 Feb 1999
By A Customer
Task Force Blue is more exciting than the best Super Bowl game ever. One doesn't have to rent Faces of Death to see hundreds of people dead, just read this book and thats the bottom line. Richard Marcinko makes all the Hollywood movie action stars look like a Bill Clinton when he was draft dodging, cowards.

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful peice of literature a must read, 24 Jun 1998
By A Customer
This was the first book of Dick's that I read and it got me hooked. I have read everyone of his books in order four to five times now. right now i'm on my sixth. This book never stops and you won't stop reading it. I am in the armed services and after reading his books i have truely realized how much BS goes on and that he is right on the money where he say's nobody gives a f--k about enlisteds. This is one of his best and there all better than the other fiction novels that come out today. Clancy comes to mind. If you like war stories or other interesting things about the milatary then READ THIS BOOK and all his other books.

3.0 out of 5 stars Adventure fiction with lots of swearing, 19 Dec 1997
By A Customer
I didn't finish this book. I live in Scotland and I picked this book up from the table of new paperbacks in one of our chain bookstores. Oh, good, I thought, a real adventure with plenty of action. This book stood out from the others on that table and a read at page one had my attention. But...I really don't get off on all the bad language. For me it spoiled the book. That said, the book was popular, when I went in later in the week all the copies were sold. Which shows you why we would like to snaffle up any stray copies of The Executioner and The Stony Man. We're kind of starved of that type of adventure fiction in Britain.
