Most Helpful Customer Reviews   3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: excellent for planning a themed evening, 17 Jan 2001 By A Customer i found this book very 'Americanised' throughout, with recipie measurments being in cups etc. However, there are good themed evenings to pick out from this book, with great illustrations and an easy to understand layout. The author Karen Brown, also provides great ideas of what we need to take into account to establish our own theme eveninigs, in terms of beverages, music, decorations and invitations.  Comment | Permalink | Was this review helpful to you? Five-star rating!, 10 Jul 1999 By A Customer Had everything I needed with step-by-step guide--menus with recipes, inexpensive centerpiece tips and decorating ideas, even background music selections! I've tried two of the dinners so far: Southwest theme with fish and mango salsa with a quick black bean and corn salad, and the roast pork loin with cherry relish and praline cheesecake menu, and am going to try more.
