5.0 out of 5 stars Honour be not dead..., 19 Sep 2001
By A Customer
As the previous reviewer noted, reading these books without reading the previous 2 would be a very difficult read. Or perhaps simply undesirable. Regardless, the characters that Diane Duane brought to life many years ago continue to develop and grow. And nowhere in the Star Trek universe has an author written the word "Honor" and made it mean so much, both to the reader and to those in the books.

Get the first 2 books, "My Enemy, My Ally", and "The Romulan Way". Read them, and get to know their characters, then decide whether its worth reading more. But if you liked the first two of her books dealing with this star faring race who call themselves the Rihannsu, but who we know as Romulans, then by all means, get these two. And pray that the next book comes soon...

3.0 out of 5 stars The Romulans plot against the Fedaration, 14 Dec 2000
By A Customer
The book relies heavily on knowing what happen previously in the 2 prior books. For those people that read them a long time ago it means digging them out to find out what the plot is going on about.

Based on how the Romalans part in the Star Trek Universe was going before it was re-surrected in "The Next Genarartion", it's very slow to take off and is obviously just a platform for things to come. It does leave you eager for things to come however.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 31 Mar 2007
By Avid reader (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Don't bother buying this, it drones on and on and on with NO conclusion at the end, just an excuse to make you buy the next book in the series. A very disappointing effort from someone who used to be one of my favourite Trek authors

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book - but could have been better...
The Rhinsu series is perhaps one of the strongest explorations of the Romulan culture and of any culture in the Star Trek series. Read more
