5.0 out of 5 stars An Improvement, 15 Jul 2000
By hoopoe83@hotmail.com (Walsall, England) - See all my reviews
Prime evil is a great improvement on the authors last novel - Obsidian Fate. Taking the story of an extremely evil and ancient witch determined to become all powerful, this novel has good characterisation, suspense, humour and violence. The constant flashbacks to shugras past are a nice inclusion also. I would rate this book as one of the better ones out of the most recent additions to the series - i just have one problem with it - Why does the back of the book call her Crystal Gregory when in the actual novel she is called Crystal Gordon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! Definately a must!, 3 Sep 2000
By A Customer
Prime evil is a story of how a primevil being(Shugra) is trying to make herself immortal! The book is a little slow in the first couple of chapters but you can see why. Willow is the real heroine in this book, faced with a decision of whether to help Shugra and have her hearts desire forfilled or help Buffy fight it! Really a must for anyone who takes the slightest interest in the show!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, with the original slaying team, including Angel, 11 Jun 2000
By mckiernan@esatclear.ie (Dublin, Ireland) - See all my reviews
This is a book which once you pick up you can never put down. A primal witch is trying to become the magick, but needs a coven of thirteen. When the witch has her coven Buffy & Co. must perform an ancient spell, but Buffy's Wicca girl, Willow,is unable to speak of anything related to magick because of a spell cast by the primal witch Shugra. Can Buffy do the spell without Willow? Read and see!

I enjoyed this book; the subject was unusual and allowed for interesting plot developments. Thankfully, all the usual gang are involved and Diana Gallagher does a good job of... Read more
