5.0 out of 5 stars Voyager - a book worthy of the title, 4 Dec 2002
By Mr President "POTUS" (Glasgow) - See all my reviews

This book is definetly entitled to be called Star Trek Voyager. A fantastically written exploration of all the Voyager crew, i even found myself actually enjoying reading about Harry Kim's life. Wonderfully portrayed events, one which will have you laughing and crying with the characters are. Meaty chunks for you to chew on. This book enshrines why Jeri Taylor is such a great writer.

PS. This is in the same league as Mosaic also by Jeri Taylor. Both would look good on the bookshelf, to come back to, time and time again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why oh Why Can't They Do This on TV?, 13 May 2000
By A Customer
This is probably the best 'Voyager' storyline on TV or in book form, because whilst the "Starfleet Man Without a Past" worked well in 'TOS', both 'TNG' and 'DS9' have decided that the characters really needed a history. History is something none of the crew of the 'Voyager' seem to have in the series. Sure, snippets of back story are hinted at here and there, but to labour a point... to know someone you must walk a mile in their moccasins and the series never gave us the opportunity.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good read - what more can you say?, 22 Sep 2003
By Tori "foxxie52" (Herne Bay, Kent) - See all my reviews
I thought this was a very good book, even better than Mosaic which was the authors first one. This book gives you all the backgrounds of most of the major characters, outlining what brought them to Voyager in the first place. You hear the colourful backgrounds of Chakotay (my favourite story), Tuvok, Neelix, Paris, Kim, Torres and even Kes manages to tell hers! The only thing I regretted was not having a version from Seven or the Doctor though I understand why they weren't included. What could the Doctor say? "Please state the nature of the medical emergency?" Still, a very good book with a storyline pulling it all together. Definately worth a read!
