5.0 out of 5 stars my first deep space nine read was the best, 15 April 2003
This books is brilliant. It has spot-on charecterisations for Quark, Odo, Sisko, and Jadzia. However, I'm not really sure about the extremely corny Chapter 3. Maybe readers should just skip that. The ending is brilliant- the three Red Orbs of Jalbador are brought together, and a wormhole opens up...inside the station! Sisko evacuates Deep Space Nine, but the Defiant is sucked into the wormhole and hurled into the future, where Thomas Riker orders Sisko to take sides in 'The War of the Prophets'. And guess what the next book's called...'THE WAR OF THE PROPHETS'!

4.0 out of 5 stars I could not stop listening to the audio tape!, 15 Aug 2001

I really liked the story. Unfortunately the publishers were mean enough to release only the first part of the trilogy on audio. Who wants to know the conclusion has to buy parts 2 and 3 in paperback, which are cheaper than audios but what if you have little time to read?

5.0 out of 5 stars If you have DS9 withdrawal syndrome, this is for you., 22 Jun 2001
I bought this trilogy for a spot of light reading on holiday and found that I couldn't put down either of books one and two. Not only was the story (toward the end of book one) fast paced but also pieces of story lines were cleverly fitted together throughout the trilogy in an almost Sophiclean style. Book three however become a little bamboozling with all the time travel problems the charaters faced (is the best way I can describe it). If you enjoy these books I would strongly recommend buying the PC CD-ROM "Deep Space Nine - The Fallen" which is strongly based around books one and three.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good book, just don't start it expecting a brilliant book
I was disappointed by book 1, partially because its title, "The Fall of Terok Nor", led me to believe it was going to contain a bit more action that it actually did. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Beware the Red Orbs of Glubnub!
OK, Book 1 is pretty good, but potential buyers should be warned that the subsequent books 2 and 3 become so convoluted they vanish up their own warp space. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Quite good, but not the best.
This is the first DS9 book that I have read, and to be honest I was worried how life on a space station would be coverted into book format. Read more
