The return of the king! This collection of weird, wonderful, hauntingly beautiful stories is a must for Bradbury fans; in fact, it is a must for all fans of a tale well told. He has lost none of his spark or ingenuity. 'Exchange', 'The Very Gentle Murders' & 'Hopscotch' are more than worth the price of admission. A further 18 spellbinding stories make this a must. Go on. I dare you. Buy this wonderful collection. I guarantee that you won't regret it.

This great collection of 21 short stories from Ray Bradbury shows that despite the authors increasing age (these are all stories from the mid-1990's) his talent remains undimmed. As with the vast majority of collections this is occasionally a little uneven in quality, but there are no outright bad stories, and while occasionally some of the pieces can seem a little low-key or aimless (for example, one story consists soley of the invention of the bicycle) Bradbury consistently suprises the reader with a fabulous turn of phrase or image that makes this a worthwhile read. Personal favourites include 'The Witch Door' - a tale of two very different women on the run for their lives, and 'The Finnegan', a startling tale of a man-eating giant trapdoor spider. A good broad mixture of well-crafted tales.
