This is another Diane Carey classic, yet again she has taken another episode and made it far much more then what it was. You've done it again. This episode is far more rounded, using every main character especially Kes and the scenes with Tories and Paris collecting the gases, making this far more real. This also makes the "flashbacks" to the girl falling off the cliff seem more real, especially with Kes' point of view, as is the conversations between Janeway and Tuvok and other members of Sulu's crew. A great story for quick reads.

Well plotted, well paced. That pretty much describes the script and this adaption is true to form. Make sure you watch the episode first, but I'd definitly recommend reading this. Never before (and since) has the closeness of Tuvok and Janeway's relationship been this well explored in book form.

I am a particular fan of Janeway and this book shows just how far Janeway will go for her friend and comrade, tuvok. If you like ST and want to learn about "Voyager's" captain and tactical officer this book is a must have!
