I worked briefly as a tutor in a middle school, and this was an excellent resource text for my students. Now I teach writing at a small college, and I have mentioned the book as a possible resource for students who need assistance with their writing skills. (This review does not reflect the views of my college.)

This book is used in my daughter's Middle School. We liked it so much we bought it for home. It gives simple, clear explanations of all common writing guidlines aimed at young adults. Styles, uses, grammar, outlines, etc. An excellent value for the young writer. This is a textbook, with school bindings, paper grade etc. So it should last through several siblings.
