Product Description

Thousands of cats and dogs are put down for behaviour problems every year. Vets have had little or no formal behavioural science training and most books and articles on pet behaviour problems have been written by vets with little advanced training in the subject. This book, written by an expert on animal behaviour, describes the new scientific approach to treating dog and cat behaviour problems which began in earnest in the United States twenty years ago and is rapidly spreading to all the world′s developed countries

5.0 out of 5 stars a must read for an intellegent understanding of our pets, 27 Jan 2002
A fantastic, comprehensive book for the student of applied companion animal counselling or for the lay person who wants an intellegent understanding of pet psychology. Really upto date thinking about pet aggression, domiance, submission and behavioural problems explained through the concept of selective breeding. Very easy to read and comprehend. Highly recommended
