Inside This Book (Learn More)
First Sentence
We like to believe that sexuality has regained, in contemporary experience, its full truth as a process of nature, a truth which has long been lingering in the shadows and hiding under various disguises-until now, that is, when our positive awareness allows us to decipher it so that it may last emerge in the clear light of language. Read the first page

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprising view on Bataille, 22 Aug 2009
By J. W. Nijenhuis "Wim Nijenhuis" (Delft, Netherlands) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Although I would have liked to have known the context of the book (its relation to the Bataille reader for instance) before purchasing it, the book proved to be very informative. I was positively struck by the essays of Hollier (for which I bought the book) and of Baudrillard.
Composition, Appearance, Quality and Price of the Book are in complete coherence with the Content.
