i bought this book and thought it was going to be a train book, you know the kind, and that i'd read it on a journey to fill the time but it wouldn't be any more than that. i was so wrong, it's a great book. it won't make you feel that the world's any better than it is or that life is easy, but it did make me think again about things. a quote from it i remember is this: "you weren't alone, just lonely," and really thats what its about, everyone having struggles and not communicating with each other. but it made me realise there's still a kind of commonality in that, we're all sharing that experience of living. i didn't get everything in the book tho, not really sure if he's supposed to have some kind of intuition or something.
