4.0 out of 5 stars Well written and deep. Thought provoking over environment., 30 Mar 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Plague 99 (Paperback)
Plague 99 was read to me by my Dad and I was always wanting to come back to it. It was well written to appeal to children and the discussions between the surviving children were thought provoking and deep. It was therefore also interesting for adults as well and led to debates on various topics after the reading was over for the night. It had some loose ends and leaves you not knowing the outcome about the children but gives plenty of options to allow one to have an ending of your choice.

Raises questions about consequences of not dealing properly with current issues on the environment and not taking responsibility for actions.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Plague, 7 Aug 2002
This review is from: Plague 99 (Paperback)
I honestly think that this is one of the best books that I have read in a very long time. It was very sad and did make me cry but it was also well written with an amazing amount of accuracy and attention to detail.

I can't wait to get my hands on the next two books in this trilogy!!

Thankyou Jane Ure for producing such a fabulous story.

I kept having to stop doing was I was doing to pick the book back up to continue reading. It really maade me think about the future of the world and how the life we now know could change so much in a short period of time
