An alphabetical journey through the world of food and cooking. This is a fantastic source of tuition for anyone who is really interested in food and cooking. At first the reader might be worried about the lack of recipes and illustrations. But you soon realise that this book is about understanding food, drink, the history and culture of foods, methods of cooking and so on. There are classic recipes throughout the text but you will find the book a major source of ideas and inspiration to take you to a higher level of food appreciation and cooking.
