5.0 out of 5 stars very fab book n interesting n detailed, 17 Nov 2001
By A Customer
This book gives a very good read and by using a combination of pictures to demonstrate and written text, it really explains to the unexperienced person what massage is really about. Gives good detail on the oils used and when to use certain techniques of massage, and how to massage certain body areas. It is a fab beginners guide and also a good read for the more experienced :)

2.0 out of 5 stars Not if you're studying, 19 Oct 2004
By A Customer
Found this book with its glossy paper and pictures quite attracting, but was quite disappointed in the way it has so much a hint of being 'sensual'.
Much of the information referrs to the person receiving as 'your partner', those giving the massage in the picture are mostly unecessarily half-naked with eyes met with a dreamy smile, and for a person who is studying massage, this is very off-putting.
Maybe good for those who just need general know-hows

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth buying, 27 May 2001
By A Customer
This is a great book for massage therapist and for those just wanting to teach themselves massage. It has a good introduction to oils, a tiny section on anatomy and tips on preparing yourself for massage. It is informative without being dull and boring and the photographs are good and helpful. I recommend it as a student massage theapist.
