4.0 out of 5 stars A map and route guide in one - very handy., 6 Aug 2001
After trying 4 of the easy routes in the book you could easily say that the routes are graded well. My girlfriend and I chose a pleasant couple of easy routes and really enjoyed them.

The maps have to be the most useful part of the book as they are taken from actual OS maps and hence following the marked route is a doddle. I have seen other books that offer a sketch and a lot of writing to guide you around a suggested route, but I have found that with basic map reading skills an OS map based route is by far superior than ending up re-reading text to describe where you should be going AND having to carry around a full OS map as well.

I only have two minor complaints the first was on the route around Anglesey. There was a section of about 50 meters that was slightly overgrown and we both got lightly stung by nettles. My second complaint was that given you are supposed to take the book cycling with you its ring binder and size makes it too big and clumsy to fit into the rear pocket of a cycling shirt.
