5.0 out of 5 stars The biggest little book there is, 15 Jul 2003
By A Customer
This book is a dream. I’ve been learning C for a while now and the books that I was using – although good – were designed so that you took ages finding just a small piece of information. This book has everything that you can want at your fingertips. All topics are well organised and most importantly – concise. No trawling through paragraphs of general waffle and the authors bad jokes (a feature now common in programming books), this book just gives you facts coupled with clear examples. I cannot recommend this book enough.

If you want to learn C there is no substitute for buying a book which walks you through each step and gently introduces you to Cs features, but if you are familiar to C and just want quick information, this book will be more than sufficient. Think of it as a dictionary. You already speak English but you still need one to clarify things, that is this book; a quick reference.

3.0 out of 5 stars C# Language Reference, 5 Feb 2009

(REAL NAME)
This book is VERY concise on the features of the C# programming language. I bought it before I had written any C#,having been told that C# was similar to Java, which is a language that I know very well.

In hindsight, I might have chosen a slightly wordier book. There are examples to highlight the concepts, but if you're looking for a little more elaboration, there are more appropriate books out there.
