Review
"If you are looking to understand JXTA and just what it can do then this book will help you understand the fundamentals, and also help you get started writing your own code." Bob Swart, uk-bug developers' magazine

Product Description
This volume delivers all the information you need to get started, including an overview of P2P distributed computing, an explanation of the JXTA Project's new platform, and ways that developers can become a part of the development effort. The book introduces major concepts in a hands-on way by explaining them in context to the shell, and contains a complete reference to the JXTA application bindings. Also included is the full JXTA protocol specification. The book covers important topics such as security, and how the JXTA technology fits into the standard Java classes.

1.0 out of 5 stars A straightforward copy of Sun's documents, 19 Mar 2009
By D. Traskas (Andover, Hampshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Typical of these series of books it is just a copy of the documents found on Sun's website about JXTA. There is no in depth analysis of what JXTA can really do and examples that reflect the power it gives to developers. For a quick reference guide just use google it will take less than searching this book. Total waste of money!
