Product Description

Synopsis

Imagine a Sunday night championship match with the underdog U-12 boy's team pulling away with a 2-0 victory. Or how about a Champions League final with the underdog team Liverpool, after being down 3-0, coming back to win it all in a shootout? Whatever the circumstance, whoever the opponent, "Three Lions Roar" pays tribute to just that: The underdogs! We have all lived it, whether it was watching the World Cup final or just playing a pick up game. We have all felt it, the feeling of rising up to the occasion when all obstacles are in your way, and nobody believes it can be done. Achieving the impossible! For all of you who get goose bumps every time you grab a beer and discuss your old glory days, this book is dedicated to you. Wonderfully constructed, my former football coach, Umut Ozturk, gives us play-by-play of a nation's race towards glory and England's hope of winning a World Cup. Bulut Ozturk, is a USSF 'C" Licence Football Coach. It's also called 'Soccer" in America.

5.0 out of 5 stars World Cup 2006 in a Stunning Coincidence..., 11 Dec 2005
By A Customer
World Cup 2006 in a Stunning Coincidence Follows Author's Plot in a Book Released 6 Months Ago.

The World Cup 2006 is looking more and more like the movie version of Umut Ozturk’s novel. Never before has an author dared to write a novel predicting the outcome of an event of this magnitude, not to mention that Ozturk’s version of the World Cup 2006 is beginning to become World Cup 2006. Perhaps he is the Nostradamus of the sports world. FIFA 2006 fans will find it amazing.

In a fictional account of the World Cup 2006 Turkish Author Umut Ozturk has masterfully created a one-of-a-kind novel that is currently transforming into fact. "Three Lions Roar: A Novel of World Cup 2006" is quickly becoming one of the most fascinating football books of all time. This book not only chronicles the intriguing, unique, and sometimes frenzied dimensions of the World Cup, but it also smoothly intertwines a page-turning plot involving action, drama, and love.

Ozturk introduces us to team England and its fans, a nation craving another World Cup championship for forty years, where a father-son team (ignorant of their blood relation) takes the English soccer scene by storm. Next are the well-anticipated World Cup 2006 finals, a thrilling clash of the titans. England faces Germany in a rematch of the 1966 final starring Bobby Charlton and his English team. Never before has an author dared to write a novel predicting the outcome of an event of this magnitude, not to mention that Ozturk’s version of the World Cup 2006 is beginning to become World Cup 2006.

The novelty of this book easily makes it the greatest soccer/football book of all time. The writing draws you in with exciting action that makes lovable characters, sports nail-biting, and the often complicated world of football understandable. Ozturk skillfully takes England through the World Cup preliminaries that read almost like the news articles written about the actual matches. In the novel, England captures first place in their group, Group B. England was recently the first team called in the World Cup FIFA 2006 draw, called into Group B. This should mark the celebration of an untapped trend in books and sports.

"Three Lions Roar: A Novel of World Cup 2006" was only published six months ago and in only a few months more it will be available in multiple languages. The World Cup is a huge international event and should naturally be accessible to the international community, whether Turkish, German, Japanese, or any other language.

The World Cup 2006 is looking more and more like the movie version of Umut Ozturk’s novel. Perhaps he is the Nostradamus of the sports world. FIFA 2006 fans will find it amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clark Kent, Peter Parker, Harry Potter and Now Josh Roark, 20 Jul 2005
By A Customer
Every once in a while history tends to give us amazing characters that we cannot separate ourselves from. With Clark Kent we watched the great powers of Superman. With Peter Parker we had the chance to witness the great adventures of Spider-man. With Harry Potter we lived his unbelievable journey as a wizard. Years later we finally have another true super hero with supernatural powers. He is Josh Roark.

Every once in a while history tends to give us amazing characters that we cannot separate ourselves from. With Clark Kent we watched the great powers of Superman. With Peter Parker we had the chance to witness the great adventures of Spider-man. Of course, with Harry Potter we lived his unbelievable journey as a wizard.

Years later we finally have another true super hero with supernatural powers. He is a gentleman, a father and a captain of the greatest football country of the world. He is Josh Roark pride of England. He is an amazing footballer, who leads his country back to top of the football throne in 2006 World Cup as a goalkeeper.

His journey will thrill the reader every four years with the start of the new World Cup.

In 2006 we witnessed Josh Roark as a goalkeeper carrying his team to the title game like Superman. Saving his team from the brink of elimination again and again.

In 2010 we will witness him as the leader of a football hungry nation who will give his team a chance to repeat as a World Cup winner.

In 2016 Roark will change his position from goalkeeper to forward and show his Harry Potter like wizardry with a football.

Josh Roark will lead England to an unlikely accomplishment of becoming one of the only teams ever to win the World Cup three times in a row.

Yes, Josh Roark is going to be the Harry Potter of the football world. He is ready for the football world. But are you?

"Three Lions Roar" is a story of Josh Roark. With him Tree Lions roar and roar again.
