1.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious for non historians and people who know where the west indies are, 31 Oct 2009
By Martin Morris (Barbados) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The dramatic summary of Cromwell's treatment of the Irish on the cover leads one to believe that this book will reveal a fascinating factual recollection of a very dark time in English history. It claimed to be based on the truth and a real family's encounters in the West Indies.

I nearly stopped reading when the author described the Lesser Antilles as being situated 500 miles south of the Equator.

I'm glad I didn't... the hero, somewhat unusually called "Tim", battled against baddies and monsters straight out of a kid's comic. Just wait for the shark attack and his battle with a giant black octopus.

You can skim it and pick out out the funniest bits in an hour or so. Enjoy!

Can't wait for his next historical summary. I wish we studied this guy's books as text books at school.
