Going on holiday with your boyfriend should be heavenly. Spending all that time together, fooling around in the sun--bliss. So when he says he wants you to go camping with him and his four mates, what do you do?
You leave him behind.
When Kelly arrives in Greece with Jade and Sarah, she knows she's done the right thing. The clifftop farmhouse is gorgeous, the sea and sun is fantastic, and the freedom makes her dizzy. The days stretch our idyllically before the three girls, and the nights ... it couldn't be more perfect, until a van arrives with five familiar lads in it.
From the Author
Footloose was chosen by SUGAR mag as 'Best Holiday Read'SUGAR (July 1999) said: It's a perfect holiday read, filled with sun, sand and saucy bits!' I wanted to write an upbeat summer book that you can sling in a beach bag and read in the sun. I had huge fun writing it which is always a good sign - if you don't enjoy writing it how can you expect people to enjoy reading it? A big theme for Footloose is the whole thing of finding out who you are and living that - not trying to be what someone else is or someone else wants. I got very involved with my characters. Jade is very gorgeous and energetic and predatory around boys. Sarah is quiet and mystical - she senses ghosts - and she's the one the holiday has the biggest effect on. Kelly is wrapped up in balancing what she needs against the demands of her relationship with the rather overpowering Mike: "I was feeling like I was in a meat grinder, you know? Everything with Mike had got very ... pressured. Like I didn't know what I really thought any more, or felt, or ... or anything.' Mike has 'real strong features, wonderful eyes, sexy teeth' and he's ... well, read it and find out!
