This is a time book with a difference. All it takes is a few hours for Tom to paint the living room completely red--about three seconds to decide what to do with the paint, five minutes to get the lid off, three hours of painting. Once his mother has calmed down--10 seconds of exploding, one day to calm down, it takes a further three weeks to put everything right. Each step in the recovery process is documented in Stephen Tucker's hilarious dead-pan text and Nick Sharratt's hilarious, colourful illustrations.

This is a very simple picture book which is ideal for reading aloud and sharing with young children who will delight in Tom's naughtiness and be fascinated by the steps necessary to put things right. Synopsis

Bright clear illustrations, lots to look at, great use of repetition plus introduces concept of passing time.
