Product Description

Synopsis

When Maggie asks Kidd to hack into the computers of the rival Whitemark Corporation for $2,000,000 - he just can't refuse. The job isn't strictly legal but it seems ethical, and the tarot reading looks benign. However, Kidd didn't read the cards too carefully - but by then it is almost too late.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thriller with interesting , computer hacking techno hero, 21 Feb 1999
By A Customer
Ex forces, but nothing spectacular , more of your phone tap specialist with a brain hero, artist by and tarot card player by inclination. Approached by large Aerospace Projects Company to infiltrate a competitor (for $2mil) and using computer hacking skills - bring this other company down. With a couple of friends, one a lady thief and another male journalist- a manipulator of the Press and another hacker friend who we never meet except via the modem take on the assignment. Of course it all goes pretty well until after the scam is running, one of their number get's shot - this sends them into a shocked resonse - then they run. But they are also very very mad and decide to get back at it transpires is their employer who was not what he seemed and try to turn the tables in the only way they know how - with the odd rifle shot thrown in for good measure - well, he was in the forces! Good quick pace and interest, a little romance here and there and a lot of interesting computer speak but not too baffling. And a pretty reasonable ending to. Great book for taking on holiday - it won't let you down. All in all, a very good book - I for one couldn't really put it down once I started.
