5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - How it's only ranked 40,000 I don't know, 24 Nov 1999
By A Customer
This book is superb. I borrowed it from a library and read it almost all in one go. I just couldn't put it down. I liked it so much I went out and bought it and then read it again. Like I said I don't why it's not ranked higher. Definitely for people with some sense of adventure rather than somebody who's just going to criticise him for being a maniac who tries to kill himself. If you have been thinking about doing something extreme or just plain normal and you want some motivation then this is a must read. Brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars An unbeleivably motivational book, 5 Mar 2004
By A Customer
This book is quite simply one of the best I have read. If you are the sort of person who throughout your life has always been day dreaming about possibly maybe one day kind of thinking about doing something challenging then this book will be a fantastic bit of motivation for you. Not only is it truly inspiring but it's very well written and humourous to boot. I'm not saying reading this book is going to turn you into a vein popping adrenaline junky by any stretch of the imagination but it may just give you that little bit of inspiration you've been lacking. A great book, well worth it's money. Go buy it now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent insight into becoming an adventure sportsman, 28 Jul 2000
By A Customer
This book has an excellent insight into adventure sports and makes you want to take up the gauntlet... From diving, to mountain-biking and rollerblading; its all there, although from a beginners perspective, the authors physical and spiritual development is relayed in an entertaining and comical way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting exploration of what is possible
Although the author is not what you would describe as a great writer the book is still worth reading nonetheless. For someone who couldn't swim at the start. Read more
