"If your man sees going to the cinema as a waste of drinking time, this book's bite sized portions of the 10 biggest films is ideal." (B Magazine )

"Had us giggling. The piss takes spliced into the revised scripts of blockbusters such as The Lord of the Rings and Gladiator make it well worth a read." (DVD Review )

"Like most great premises this is a deceptively simple one: entire movies summarised in flippant and sometimes hilarious ways. For the blog generation there is much to enjoy." (Catherine Bray HOTDOG )

"Convinced that most movies could tell their entire story in a fraction of their running time, Jones has kindly produced amusingly condensed scripts for some of the biggest films of the last decade, from Jurassic Park to the Lord of the Rings." (Anna Carey THE IRISH TIMES )

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely brilliant., 6 Nov 2005
By A Customer
This arrived yesterday and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone with a love of films and well, taking the mickey out of them. This book eloquently and wittily encapsulates every time you've ever thought "Phurt!" at a scene or grimaced at a slightly hammy piece of dialogue. Personally, I find this style of humour hilarious, and you don't have to have read any of the author's online musings (I hadn't before now, although have since giggled myself silly at the takes on 'Troy' and 'Van Helsing').

Don't worry if you're a diehard fan of these films - it's not remotely meanspirited, and you won't feel as if your cherished LOTR or Star Wars is being attacked. Nor do you need to have recently seen them to appreciate this book, or watched them lots of times. It's just funny. I lost count of the number of times I laughed out loud. I appreciate that humour is an exceedingly subjective beast, but with this you can't lose - read a couple of the online ones if you're not sure if this is worth your six quid. But it most assuredly is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book!, 20 Oct 2005
By Ms. R. Young (Manchester, UK) - See all my reviews

Like so many other reviewers, I first came across Cleolinda on her "Movies in 15 minutes" weblog. I was hooked. Now, she's written the book, and I've got it, and I've barely stopped laughing since. I read the condensed Jurassic Park in the bath, and at one point doubled up with laughter so hard that my precious book nearly ended up in the water.

Excellent. More, please.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hooray for Cleo!, 31 Jul 2005
By Alina aka Mysticowl (Toronto, Canada) - See all my reviews
Cleolinda is an amazingly witty writer. I have been a fan of her writing ever since I found her online movies in fifteen minutes and I've never been dissappointed. I've been excited about this book ever since I first heard of her plans to write it. It's great to see this project finally come to light!
