This book concentrates mainly on AC Parmas 1997/8 season in Serie A. The action is seen through the eyes of the men that count, Carlo Ancelotti the clubs illustrious coach, and through the clubs players and owners. This books follows matches in Europe and in Serie A and always gets under the skin of the Italian football. At Parma the author Greg Burke has been granted access behind the scenes and he sees and lives the story of a side that has risen from obscurity to the dizzy heights of top flight football. Not only does the author look at Parma, he gives a valuable insight to life in Italy and other factors involving how football is treated in Serie A and along the way asks important questions involving calcio.
