Product Description

Synopsis

This is the complete organizer for the new student or job market entrant. It advises on setting the rules and keeping the peace in shared accommodation, how to keep the washing up down and how to handle a house member who isn't pulling their weight. It addresses several first time experiences, such as leaving home for the first time, sharing a home with strangers, doing your own shopping, managing your own budget, cooking for a household, entertaining some friends, creating a romantic evening and throwing a cheap, successful party. The book should be useful for new students, people sharing a flat for the first time, or anyone interested in food ideas that cost next to nothing, require no skill and take little time to prepare.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes healthy cooking so easy!, 28 Jun 2004
This book is unavailable in the U.S., but I found it at a used book sale and absolutely treasure it! The recipes are so simple, and everything comes out so tasty. If you're just getting out on your own, this is a must-have. Recipes range from easy curries and a delicous and simple Shepherd's Pie to complete menus for entertaining. It provides all the information you will need to make quick, basic, and delicious meals.

4.0 out of 5 stars An idiots guide to producing tasty meals, 4 Sep 2001
By A Customer
A must for students and those with limited time and knowledge of cooking. It gives easy steps and there are vegetarian recipes as well. Makes the studying of cooking away from Mum much easier than the student course.

4.0 out of 5 stars This book kept me from fading away!, 21 Feb 2006
I went to university without having any knowledge of cooking a thing (bar toast); and without this book I would have been lost. It has some great simple, cheap recipies as well as some strange ones. However its a great book that I still use to this day.
