So… why meals in minutes? Well the amount of times people have come up to me, especially in supermarkets, occasionally in the dry cleaner’s, now and then in the florist’s and also in the Gent’s, and asked me to recommend a delicious recipe that can be knocked up in minutes rather than hours is quite staggering! I discovered that these people all had something in common: some worked strange shifts, some were loaded with children, but generally it was a case of working hard and playing hard, yet everyone wanted to eat fantastic home-cooked food in a flash. So I wanted to write a book and make a television series that would hopefully give them food for thought and answer all those culinary conundrums. And here it is!

Every recipe we have tried from this book has been great - unlike many of the cookery books we own (DELIA!) it is not 'trial and error' to make these dishes work. Just as good for dinner parties as for regular meals - they're always tasty, easy and successful. We love this book! If you only have one recipe book - buy this one.

well done ainsley, when's the next one out! This is my fave cook book by far, I especially love the Chicken Chou Mein (which sent the plumbers tastebuds reeling) and Chicken Acupulco dishes, I even cooked liver for the first time with the help of a superb port and sour cream sauce! Many of these recipes have been added to my favourite list of dishes to impress and in half the time! On the bad side, I'm running out of new dishes to cook so hurry up and write a second one....!

Have you ever got in from a long a day and just NOT wanted to cook ... but the thought of a frozen boxed meal really wasn't what you needed ...? Well, let Ainsley do the cooking!

Honestly, when you taste Ainsley's quick and simple meals no-one will believe that YOU created them and the best thing is - they really are QUICK and on the whole use store cupboard ingredients. They can be made for 1, 2, 4 or MORE people with just as little effort.

Just one point though, Ainsley's meals always include a fair amount of SPICE - so use minimal amounts until you've tried a few recipes.

SUPERB!
