5.0 out of 5 stars Valuable production information, 29 April 2000
By A Customer
This book is an excellent coverage of the various aspects of production of Jonathan Creek. The writer and the three principal actors have lengthy interviews. The book is lavisly illustrated in colour and it is very attractively presented.

The first portion is a history of how the series came about - and nearly didn't; of how Alan Davies was cast in the role of Creek and the frustrations David Renwick had in getting the series made.

The middle section has interviews with the cast.

At the end each of the episodes has a double-page spread with a full cast list and some valuable production notes and the odd story.

A superior example of an examination of the production of a TV series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating!, 16 Jan 2000
By A Customer
What a detailed book: it gives a fascinating insight into this great series. Loads of insights into its writer and stars and that fascinating behind-the-scenes information - including lots of stuff about Jonathan's windmill - makes you feel that you've really got behind-the-scenes. There's also the story of the show's origins and revelations about the stars who didn't get the lead part. Fans of mystery solving also get the chance to solve a new Creek mystery which unfolds through the book. I want to know the solution!! Highly Recommended

By Ian Ireland (Durham, UK) - See all my reviews
A great fact filled book for all fans of the worlds greatest detective series. Filled in the gaps left out by my extensive DVD box set collection and I can recommend it to anyone who shares my loe of all thongs Creek.

This book gives the basic synopsis of each episode and also a lot of background information. Not as much as you would like but still very good. Read more
