4.0 out of 5 stars Informative, interesting, helpful, well-researched, thorough, 17 Oct 2000
By A Customer
The beginning of this book has a lot of fascinating information about brain structure and the biology of thought processes. This serves to illustrate the architecture of our minds, and how we can best utilise our vast resources. While the immense power or our brains is no doubt true, I think that after a while, the book begins to expect too much. It does introduce the concept of "radiant thinking" and "mind-mapping" on a perfectly acceptable level though. The book is meant to have something for people at every level of capability however, and I think it achieves it well. The layout of the book is incredibly organised, and it is very easy to skim through and get a representative picture of the book without reading it all. It is also very quick and easy to find the information you are looking for. I think the best thing about this book it it covers a large range of applications for your new skills. It only lets itself down by occasionally talking down to you

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful and practical as well as a good read, 15 Feb 2001

A well organised book that allows you to rapidly grasp the principles behind Mind-Mapping, the basics of the techniques, then understand how to apply it in various circumstances. As a professional lecturer and business consultant, the technique has been of great help to me. I have explained it to my daughter, who is severely dyslexic, and she was amazed how much she could learn, understand and memorize!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Millenium edition is a good update, 8 Aug 2001

I first read this book 5 years ago and having neglected it's very obvious value revisited it.

Mr Buzan has a very powerful and positive way of presenting his material, which no doubt assists his obvious success, just do a search on Buzan to see how prolific he and his brother are.

I warmly recommend this book to anyone intent on self improvement.
