A truly comprehensive BBC overview of all things Doctor Who.In short this book is something of a bible consisting of story summaries from each episode, including the 10th Doctor's stunning debut,an appraisal of each Doctor, a potted history of this groundbreaking series, loads of trivia and lots of glossy pictures!

4.0 out of 5 stars Only buy this if..., 9 Feb 2006
You don't own the original Dr Who : The Legend, or if you really want the updates of the ninth Doctor. The book has halved in price from the original hard back but has only gained around 20 pages. The original info does not seem to have been updated except with some new pictures. The line is still at the end of the chapter on the Dr.Who Movie stating that this was the last time Dr.Who was seen on British TV even though it then goes on to detail the ninth Doctors episodes. If I didn't own the original book I would have given this 5 stars but as it is a poorly updated version I had to mark it down to 4.

5.0 out of 5 stars Far more than an episode guide, 25 Jan 2006

This well priced book is one of many updated following the amazing return to the small screen of Doctor Who in the guise of Christopher Ecclestone.

Although at first glance this appears to be "merely" a complete episode guide, like the TARDIS itself it contains far more inside.

Rather than mechanically giving cast and synopses for stories it sets a context within the overall story arc and gives information you won't get on Episode Guide web sites.

This is the one to buy!
