Amazon.co.uk Review

If Ready Steady Cook, the television series, has transformed the way you shop, cook and eat, then you're ready for this book. It's not about special occasion food for several people--it's about giving you the chance to sit down with a loved one or friend and enjoy the pleasure of quick and delicious food à deux--for under a fiver. No over buying and no wasted food at the end.

Whether you are looking for a simple supper or lunch, a hearty meal or a candlelit dinner, the Ready Steady Cook chefs have a recipe to fit the occasion. There's Richard Cawley's Tandoori Chicken Skewers with Cucumber Salad or Thai Green Curry with Prawns and Jasmine Rice from Patrick Anthony. Take a trip to Hungary with Brian Turner's Lamb Paprika Goulash or visit the East with Antony Worrall Thompson and his Oriental Beef Salad. Tips are given for safe storage and freezing, and there are ideas for vegetarian, game and shellfish recipes.

Product Description

A collection of 15-minutes recipes for meals for two people. The book is divided into five chapters, focusing on vegetarian dishes, fish, poultry and game, meat dishes, and desserts.

4.0 out of 5 stars Snappy, straightforward cooking with some original ideas, 10 Mar 2000
By A Customer
If you're not used to cooking for two, it is quite an art, and all help is welcome. This has good ideas and is thoughtful and well-presented, with attractive illustrations.
