This book looks and sounds like a dream come true- but caution. I strobgly recommend that you physically pick up and look at the book's contents before purchase. it is in the main a huge directory of names and addresses of TECs and business advisory units. if that is what you are after - then it is perfect, if you want a more practical guide - go for the "Which? guide to starting your own business"

Colin Barrow has done it again with this, indeed, a sublime creation...Well written and easy read...

He has successfully updated every part...that includes the contacts that I use most of the time...

It is surely a bible for all business starter small or new...(like it said)....I have bought it for my friends and relatives as this years Christmas presents...I knew they'll like it...as they are mavericks...whom are doing their own business...but certainly, they will need the tips from the book..

This book has it all. An example business plan at the beginning sets the tone for all the information you need to get your business idea into shape. The the book is organised into logical chunks, finance, marketing, etc, with tips on what to do and the most amazing database of organisations that can help with every aspect of your business, many for free.
I found the links to FREE business planning software and masses of FREE market research information invaluable. Lots of quirky stuff too.e.g a website that tells you were the nearest Internet cafe is anywhere in the world and links to business angel networks. An absolute must
