5.0 out of 5 stars From the back cover...., 15 Jul 2007
The Teaching of English as a Second Language has grown enormously in the last decade, yet it is still a relatively new field. Teachers across the country are experimenting and exchanging ideas on various methods, and in this way a body of informed opinion is being built up.

This book, by two highly experienced teachers in the subject, draws together those ideas and offers detailed and practical advice for present and intending teachers of ESL.

SANDRA NICHOLLS is Director of the Inner London Education Authority Language and Literacy Unit, and was one of the initiators of the Royal Society of Arts Certificate of Teaching of English to Adult Immigrants.

JULIA NAISH is Language Organiser for the London Borough of Camden and an assessor for the Royal Society of Arts Certificate.
