This is a very readable book! I am now in the thirty something age group which this book is aimed at and in the last six months have started to apply the diet and exercise routines proposed in the book. I have gone from 65kg down to 60kg; I am a lot more active. My physical sluggishness has been replaced with a new energy. Mentally I feel much better. This is not just a diet and exercise book. It provides a lot of background information which helps to motivate you to stick to the regime. Another factor which is impressive, is that you do not have to be a calorie counting expert to control your diet.

(REAL NAME)   
This is the first book I've read that tells you how to prevent and help osteoporosis without being patronising or puritanical. It is a very positive, "can do" book that encourages you to take control of your health, without any weird diets or bizarre exercises, using simple commonsense, backed up by sensible science. If I can follow its instructions, believe me, anyone can! (I particularly appreciated the chair exercises you can do in front of the TV).

Explains how your body changes and bones loose density and describes how you can combat this and the other signs of aging. Provides an easy repetoir of weight bearing exercises, that you can do at home. A very positive book.
