Product Description
Princess Leia, Han Solo and Chewbacca are on a mission to find the lost children of the Jedi, a mission vital to the survival of the New Republic. Halfway across the galaxy, Luke Skywalker has undertaken an equally dangerous task that, if it fails, has fatal consequences for Leia, Han and Chewie.

From the Back Cover
Princess Leia, Han Solo and Chewbacca set out on a mission that is vital to the survival of the fragile New Republic. They are searching for the long-lost children of the Jedi, a quest that takes them to the once-vibrant stronghold of Belsavis - a nearly forgotten frozen world. Leia has heard tales of a Jedi exodus from the dark crypts below the planet's surface. She has also heard that since the time of the exodus no-one entering the crypts has returned alive.

Halfway across the galaxy, Luke Skywalker has undertaken an equally dangerous expedition, that, if it fails, could have fatal consequences for Leia, Han and Chewie. Haunted by ominous dreams and guided by a force he cannot identify, Luke journeys to a remote asteroid field over the planet Pzob. There he discovers the automated dreadnought Eye of Palpatine - from the days of all-out war. Camouflaged deep within a nebulous gas cloud and dormant for thirty years, Eye of Palpatine is governed by a supersophisticated artificial intelligence system known as the Will. Taken aboard the dreadnought, Luke is counselled by the spirit of Callista, a Jedi Knight who gave her life to stop the ship once before. Now Luke must learn from her how to destroy it once and for all. The Will has awakened. The Dark Hammer is on the move. Its mission: the total annihilation of the Belsavis.

Very unhappy with this book. the pages were a horrible shade of brown and even though id bought what i was expecting to be a decent copy was a mess. it took a while to arrive and the state of the book did not reflect what i was lead to believe id receive. the only reason it has two stars is because the books a good read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but lacking in certain areas, 10 Nov 2000
By Tancredi Tincani (Hamburg, Germany) - See all my reviews

In this book, Luke is taken aboard the Eye of Palpatine, while Leia and Han search for a lost colony of Jedi. The idea for this story is certainly very good, and Plawal has a very unique atmosphere, you can almost visualise the damp mist clinging to the ground, the floating vine-beds...However, the other half of the story, with Luke on the Eye of Palpatine, doesn't hold up so well. You get the feeling that the author had to pretty much turn every force in the Universe against Luke to make the story believable (that's all I will reveal!), because a full-strength Jedi Knight would make short work of....you'll find out. It seems almost a bit hard to believe... I have to say that the ending was exceptionally well written, something which is unfortunately not the case for most of the rest of the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Slow, Deep and Dark - Actually pretty Good!, 8 Aug 2000
By A Customer
Personally, I cannot see what all the fuss is about. My partner bought me this book two years ago and I have now read it countless times. I found it fascinating - Callista brings about a whole new twist to the story line - now and hopefully for future stories. Admittedly the story is slow, but it only pulls you deeper into the darkness of the story and the countless droids and dangers that lie ahead. Read it for yourself, if you are really into anything and everything that is Star Wars then go for it.
