I can't remember when I last read such an enjoyable saga. The strength of character shown by the heroine Mercedes was delightful. I loved the author's style of going back and forth in time, bringing the relationship of Eden and Joel to its unpredictable climax. An excellent read that I would highly recommend. I did enjoy the author's HOUSE OF MANY ROOMS and THE MASK OF TIME, but this one has been my favourite so far.

I first read this book 10 years ago after picking up 'something to read' in an airport shop. It was a belated Honeymoon for me and my new husband unfortunately for him it was not what he expected!

Once into the book I could not put it down. The story is compelling and intriguing and takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions including love, hate, pity and many many more.

Through revenge and hardship it is a great story of finding a life!

This is THE book that (after many years of staring bored at the TV) awakend my now overwhelming passion for reading.
