It is difficult to read this book and not feel an immense liking for this lady. In fact in all honesty I can relate to alot of her ways of thinking and in turn she aided me in understanding my own personality traits alittle better. Self acceptance was one aspect of her persona she just couldn't or perhaps didn't want to grasp. Yet she easily accepted everybody elses whether they be positive or negative, comprehending and adapting to each individually. I find Ava Gardner to be a mysterious alluring woman, and absolutely under-estimated regarding her personal level of intelligence. Whilst reading those pages I knew that much had been omitted intentionally and that perhaps some things were better off left unsaid, remaining private. It appears that most of her life she was full of zest and never missed any opportunity in grabbing all and sundry with both hands if it was to her liking. Yes she liked and loved men's company and she did like to drink perhaps alittle to much, but that is what made Ava, Ava.
