5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent! a very-hard-to-put-down book, 8 April 2002
Excellent base story with a few twists. Very modern and accurate story of a couple who meet and fall in lust - or is it love? The problem is, he is married with a child and another one on the way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read by one of today's best women authors, 17 May 2002
Imogen Parker writes amazing contemporary fiction with characters we can all relate to. She seems completely clued up on our emotions, and unlike many women writers, doesn't make the male characters two dimensional. Perfect Day is a great book, although I did not think it was as touching as What Became of Us. Alexander and Kate's Perfect Day is emotional and there are many twists which relate to his past and with Nell's day. The emotions and practicalities dealing with Lucy's asthma and allergies are very well written and researched. Highly enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful beach read, 30 April 2002
Another enjoyable novel from this author. The story is full of twists and ironic humour as you walk the path of the two main characters falling in love - will he leave his pregnant wife and child for the woman he meets by chance? A total gripping easy read - although I have to say if you have read her other books there is an element of repetition.
