5.0 out of 5 stars One to read if you're suffering pre-wedding stresses!, 23 Nov 2000
By A Customer
My fiance bought me this the week leading up to our wedding and I couldn't put it down - I read the whole book in 2.5 hours - then picked it up and read it all over again! In fact I read it 3 times in the 4 days leading up to our wedding! AND I was rushing around!! It's funny, gripping and has an unexpected twist that stopped it being predictable! Can't wait to read the others Ms Wickham has written!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, lots of little twists and a really decent read, 22 May 2000
Was one of those books that you didn't want to put down from the start. A really easy read and perfect for that true 'escapism' feel. Am definately going to search for more books by Ms Wickham - excellent, thanks very much!

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, too slick, 4 Jun 2000
By A Customer
I bought this because of several good reviews in the press, I honestly can't understand the enthusiasm. She writes well but the story line is too glib, there isn't enough depth of charecterisation, ultimately the happy ending just doesn't ring true. Shame, because there was a really good book in there. Perhaps it was written too quickly to meet a deadline?

5.0 out of 5 stars The Wedding Girl!
Sophie Kinsella is my favourite author. I wasn't impressed with The Tennis Party which was the first book I read under her real name. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining
As an avid fan of Sophie Kinsella, I hoped that the books written as Madeleine Wickham would prove to be,if not as good, then at least a good read. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Too silly to be credible
Millie Ms Wickham's heroine is so stupid it is untrue. No matter how the author dresses up the fact the premise of the novel is unbelievable and uninteresting. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars A very satisfactory read!
An enjoyable story - twists unexpectedly which raises it above the usual modern heroine saga!

4.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't Put it Down!
A very twisty, turny sort of book, it was very enjoyable, and Madeline Wickham strikes again with more fantastic reading!

Well done!

4.0 out of 5 stars An easy, fun read with a twist in every chapter.
This is a throughly enjoyable read. The characters are both likeable and believable, perhaps more because of their frailties than their strengths, although it is the latter that... Read more
