Ilive in Wigtown Book Town and have done for over 14 yrs.
I met the author in the best most polite shop Creaking Shelves andboth Ms Gliori and the member of staff(owner)were so friendly. It was my firsttime I`d been in this new shop as I have a terminal brain tumour so can only get to Wigtown if i have a lift and keep sitting down to rest.
I went into various places from Friday Saturday & Sunday and these were the only polite people plus the lady in Byre Books. Guess who gets my familys custom from now on.
I really enjoyed Witch Baby and me and I am going to read it again with my son and also purchase other books by this author and I hope she knocks J K Rowling off her pedastal (word of warning never mix politics with business as due to present mess government making i object to her giving away 1 million pounds to the labour party out of my buying her Harry Potter merchandise)
I am sorry you booked into an awful hotel as Newton Stewart has some fantastic hotels B & B guesthouses ie: TheBruce, The Crown, Corsbie Villas guest House. Please name and shame the hotel so I know not to reccommend it to our customers. We own Galloway Angling Centre inNewton Stewart started originally from our dining room!! 11yrs later now largest tackle shop in the area after hard graft and doing without hols,new cars and I am so proud of my husband Duncan especially now as he is having to cope with my cancer 2 kids a shop a big daft dog and become mum n dad at home when i`m too ill.
All the best with this book and any future ones you were a joy to meet.
