Product Description

Product Description

Poor Poppy is feeling very down in the dumps - so much so she doesn't even believe she is a true princess any more. She is envious of her best friend because Honey is being taken on loads of fabulous outings by her parents, Dad is working really hard, Grandpa always seems to be busy with his vegetable garden and Mum is tired all the time because of her big baby bump! To make things even worse, Poppy is convinced that everyone likes Honey more than they like her and that they think she is prettier, including Mum and Cousin Saffron. Poppy decides that the only thing for it is to start acting more like her best friend and to try to look more like her too. Poppy is sure that once she has turned herself into a copy of Honey, everyone will like her so much more. Find out what happens when Poppy tries to become just like Honey. Will it make her happy or will she realize that everyone is different and that every little girl is a true princesses in her own way?

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended for Little Princesses everywhere, 4 April 2006
By Avid Rieder (Worcestershire, England) - See all my reviews
I would definitely recommend this book for all parents with daughters aged 3-5 who aspire to be a princess and ballet dancer rolled into one.

The illustrations are wonderful, modern but timeless and I think I enjoyed the story as much as my daughter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent present for my God-daughter, 28 Nov 2006

I bought this for my goddaughter and didn't want to give it away - it's gorgeous!

It's packed full of little prezzies and bits-and-bobs that my wife assures me will make every girl feel like a princess.

Little girls - and big ones - will absolutely adore it! I look forward to being Godfather #1 over xmas.

4.0 out of 5 stars Princess Poppy sure fire winner, 30 May 2007
My kids adore Poppy, my son loves counting the flowers that adorn most pages, whilst my daughter just can't get enough of this friendly but fiesty little girl. It's been elevated to being read every night by request. Just like every other little girl Poppy gets bored, impatient and wants to get on, but these clever books show that there's a reward for being good. The little letter in the front of the book in its own tiny pocket is a sweet touch.
