Product Description

It's eight months since Sophie went missing from a music festival in the summer after her GCSEs. The police search has lead nowhere and Jit, Sophie's best friend and soulmate, is going slowly crazy not knowing what's happened to her. He has to do something. So, he starts on a search that will take him all over Britain, following the clues he finds after tracking down the people Sophie met at the festival. Eventually the search takes Jit to Scotland and the remote farmhouse that's home to a racist cult. Surely he's close to finding the answers...but then everything falls into place and the horrific and unimaginable truth comes to light ...

From the Back Cover

It's been eight months since Sophie went missing at a music festival and Jit is tired of waiting for answers. He once made a promise to Sophie to come and find her if she ever went away - a promise he is determined to keep.

With help from Sophie's best friend, Jenna, Jit starts to unravel the events of that weekend to follow a trail of clues that will lead him into more and more danger. What were the members of the strange cult doing at the festival and could they have anything to do with Sophie's disappearance? And what about the other girls who have gone missing - is there a serial killer on the loose?

As Jit's desperate search leads him all over BRitain, he becomes closer and closer to the horrifying and devastating truth . . .

An edge-of-your-seat thriller that will have you hooked from the first page, by the multi award-winning author of (un)arranged marriage, The Crew, Rani &Suki, The Whisper and The Last Taboo.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Angel Collector by Bali Rai, 23 Mar 2008
By AnnaLucy "Anna" (Buxton Derbyshire UK) - See all my reviews
Bali Rai came to my school in to my year 9 english lesson at Buxton Community School. I am not normally a keen reader but he talked about writing his story's and told us of his adventures and his family.
I was intrigued to find out more about his family as he said most of his books were based around them. He was a very intersting person.
(for future reference he does not like Ali G)
This book was amazing. Jit's quest to find sophie is full of exciting things that happen to him and sophie's friend jenna. This book is full of racism. In fact it is about a racist cult. If this was any other book i would most probably still be reading it. I managed to finish this book in about 4-5 days!! You should take this as a good thing i was very amazed about how good this book was. Probably the best book i have ever read.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Angel Collector, 29 Sep 2008
Not suitable for teenagers. This book is ghastly and I suggest teachers and parents read it first before allowing children to. The subject matter is vile, I would not recommend it to anyone and do not feel it is particularly well written either. How it is aimed at the teenage market is beyond me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor for adults, average for teens, 16 Jul 2008
By Jack (Leeds) - See all my reviews
I dont want to be too critical, suffice to say that if this book is intended for teenagers, its average. My teenage niece read it and thought it was ok. Nothing more from her.
Personally, i thought it a very poor read. I didnt buy into the characters nor did i find any compassion with Jit. Unable to recommend im afraid.
